You can’t beat this historic boutique hotel’s prime location right in downtown Calistoga. Just imagine waking up and strolling right into Calistoga’s charming downtown to grab your morning coffee at a local cafe. Located about a 4-mile drive from downtown Calistoga on a 20-acre country estate, you’ll find the only clothing optional hot spring resort in the area. Meadowlark Country House and Resort is the perfect spot for serene and unhindered relaxation, without any noisy kids around to interrupt your zen moments. Owners Kurt and Richard are very hospitable and charming hosts who truly do care that your stay is perfect. The property features a large mineral water pool, a hot tub, Finnish dry sauna, massage room, terraces for sunbathing, and all around stunning views.
6. Golden Haven Hot Springs Resort
Located on a quiet side street right next to downtown Calistoga, the Golden Haven provides 28 rooms and mineral hot springs pools for soaking. The resort’s signature is its luxurious mud bath treatments that include hot mud, a mineral bath, and a flannel wrap for cooling down. The property’s natural hot spring pool is indoor and the water temperature ranges from 85-88 degrees depending on the season. In the pool area you’ll also find two hot spring jacuzzis at temperatures of 98 and 104 degrees. If you prefer to soak in private, some rooms include jacuzzis with mineral water piped in directly. Overall the resort is comfortable, clean, well run and has great amenities at a very affordable price point.
7. Carlin’s Cottage Court
This two generation family-owned hot spring resort is quaint, charming, and is located just a few blocks from downtown Calistoga, making it easy to walk into town for food and fun. At Carlin’s Cottage Court you can book a room with a jacuzzi tub that has hot spring water directly piped in or you can take a dip in the outdoor pool and jacuzzi. The rooms are clean and a great value at around $199 a night. Another perk is the resort is located just blocks away from one of the best hiking trails in Napa Valley. The owners are very hospitable and overall do a great job of managing the property.
8. Roman Spa Hot Springs Resort
This boutique hot springs hotel is primely located just a block away from downtown Calistoga. The Roman Hot Springs Resort offers a charming relaxation driven experience with beautifully kept mediterranean gardens, indoor and outdoor hot spring fed pools, and a spa with luxurious mud treatments.
