Hot Springs Reviews

Indian Hot Springs offers a variety of soaking options, including a large mineral water pool, private baths, caves, and outdoor jacuzzis. Reviews of the hot springs themselves are generally positive, with guests praising the healing waters and relaxing atmosphere.

  • Lisa K., a Denver local, shared her experience on Yelp, noting that the geothermal caves were the highlight of her trip. "The caves are amazing and feel like stepping into a natural sauna," she wrote. Lisa particularly enjoyed the peaceful ambiance and felt the warm, mineral-rich water did wonders for her muscles after a long hike. "The atmosphere in the caves was very calming and provided a great break from the stresses of life."

  • John D., a traveler from Austin, TX, raved about the large indoor mineral pool. He described it as "a fantastic spot for family-friendly relaxation." In his Google review, John praised the cleanliness of the pool and how spacious it was. "The indoor pool had plenty of room, and the temperature was just right," he commented, appreciating the convenience for both adults and kids to enjoy the soothing waters together.

However, not all reviews are glowing. Megan W., a frequent hot spring enthusiast from Boulder, found the large pool a bit too commercial for her taste. "It felt more like a regular pool than a hot spring," she mentioned in her TripAdvisor review. Megan noted that the caves and outdoor jacuzzis offered a more intimate experience, recommending those to visitors looking for a more authentic hot springs experience.

Customer Service

The customer service at Indian Hot Springs receives mixed reviews, with some visitors praising the staff’s friendliness, while others mention areas for improvement.

  • Michelle P., a regular visitor from Colorado Springs, had nothing but good things to say about the staff. "The team at Indian Hot Springs has always been kind and helpful," she wrote on TripAdvisor. Michelle appreciated how staff members were quick to accommodate her requests and always made sure she had everything she needed for a pleasant visit. "Whether it's providing extra towels or helping with directions, they’re always on top of things," she said.

  • On the flip side, Kevin M., who traveled from Phoenix, AZ, felt that the service could use some fine-tuning. He shared on Google, "While the staff was friendly, there were a few hiccups during our stay." Kevin explained that his party’s reservation for private baths had been delayed due to a scheduling error, which resulted in some frustration. "It would have been nice if the staff had communicated better, but they did try to make it right," he noted.

Overall, while the friendliness of the staff is often praised, occasional issues with organization and communication have been noted by some guests.

Accommodations

Indian Hot Springs offers several accommodation options, including rooms in the main lodge, the Historic Cottages, and even traditional Native American teepees. Reviews of the accommodations highlight the charm of the historic setting, though some guests found the facilities a bit outdated.

  • Emily R., a history buff from Albuquerque, NM, stayed in the main lodge and appreciated the nostalgic charm of the place. "Staying here felt like stepping back in time," she wrote on TripAdvisor. Emily enjoyed the rustic feel of the lodge and mentioned that while the rooms weren’t luxurious, they were cozy and comfortable. "If you’re looking for modern amenities, this might not be the place for you, but for me, it was perfect," she said.

  • By contrast, Tom G., a luxury traveler from Chicago, found the accommodations in need of some upgrades. "The lodge has character, but it could use a facelift," he shared in his Yelp review. Tom mentioned that his room felt dated and could have benefited from more modern touches. However, he admitted that the unique atmosphere of the property made up for some of the shortcomings, adding, "I loved soaking in the hot springs, so that was a big plus."

The teepees and cottages also receive mentions in reviews, with Sarah L., a visitor from San Francisco, writing about her stay in one of the teepees. "Sleeping under the stars in a teepee was an unforgettable experience," she said. Sarah loved the sense of adventure, though she recommended that visitors come prepared for a rustic stay.

  • Kim S., a massage therapist from Boulder, praised the quality of the spa treatments. "The massage I had was one of the best I’ve experienced," she wrote on Yelp. Kim appreciated the skill of the therapist and felt that the massage, combined with a soak in the caves, left her feeling completely rejuvenated.

  • On the other hand, Mark T., a frequent traveler from Seattle, felt that while the treatments were enjoyable, they were a bit pricey. "I enjoyed my massage, but it wasn’t the best value for the money," he noted on Google. However, he still appreciated the added relaxation the spa services provided.

Final Verdict

Indian Hot Springs offers a unique blend of geothermal soaking, rustic charm, and spa treatments that appeal to a wide range of visitors. The hot springs themselves are a major draw, with most guests enjoying the caves and private baths, while the large mineral pool tends to cater more to families. Customer service receives praise for friendliness, though occasional organizational issues are noted. Accommodations range from charming and historic to needing a bit of modernization, depending on visitor expectations.

Overall, Indian Hot Springs provides a nostalgic, relaxing getaway for those looking to soak in healing waters and enjoy a piece of Colorado history.
